In Te Maunga we have been learning measurement. We did things like see the temperature of things and what the size is. When I saw the temperature of hot water it was 54’c. My favorite part was the water going higher in time. So I have learnt from this that hot water gets colder when you leave it out.
Kia ora! I am a year 4-5 student in Te Maunga at Paihia School, New Zealand. My teachers are Mrs Pou and Mr Ngata.

The really fun astronomy.
In Te Maunga we have been doing astronomy. We did things like read books and then fill them in the slides. After we filled in the slides we made a DLO about the Moon or the Stars. After the DLO you had to do an interview or an explanation. So I have learnt from this that the Moon and Stars are very important. Have you ever done a DLO about the moon or stars?

The Amazing Team building!
In Te Maunga we are learning team building. We did things like balancing a ruler on your thumb and you had to take it to the ground. I learnt that heavier things will take you down to the ground easier if you were balancing a ruler on your hand. Have you ever done this?

The Amazing Research Project
In Te Maunga we have been doing Research about animals. We had to be in groups so I chose Heavenly for my partner. We did it about a gorilla because we hardly knew anything about them so we found some new things out that day. My favourite part was finding the pictures because there were some funny ones. I learnt how to make a research project so you can find out things you want to know.

The Amazing character description
In Te Maunga we did character description. I learnt some new words like shriveled, fearsome and ghastly. After we did the slides we got to draw a character from the story, one from a movie we liked and a made up one. My favourite part was drawing all of those things. It was fun. I tried hard to get all of my work done in time for maker space and I did.
