In Te Maunga we have been learning measurement. I learned my height is 1.32 m. Azure measured my height. I learned I was 1.32 m from this maths activity called Mighty metres. I also learned that my heart beats 5 litres of blood every minute.

Cricket
In Te Maunga we have been learning cricket. A guy called Neal told us how to play cricket. I learned how to hit the ball with the bat. First we had a warm up. The warm up was we had to get in a group of two and one person had to hit the ball and the other person threw the ball and had to catch it.

Cross country
On September 25th, Paihia School did cross country. I am 8 so I raced with the 8 year olds. I came 3rd place. At the cross country there were nachos, sausage sizzles, cakes and drinks.

Geometry.
In Te Maunga we have been doing geometry. 3D shapes are things that are not flat like 2D things. I learned some new 3D shapes like a cuboid. A cuboid has 6 faces, 12 edges and 8 vertices.
Films
In Te Maunga we have been learning how to film. We learned how to take up close shots and far shots. If you were doing a far shot you would have to walk back. If you wanted to do a close up shot you would have to go up close to the person. I learned a lot in films.

hunt
In Te Maunga my class went on a treasure hunt. We were raising money for Sam Godsiff-Johnson and the charity I Am Hope. He was raising money for sad and lonely people. One person from Te Ngahere got three prizes; he got a ball, headphones and an Eskimo pie. The school raised 400 hundred dollars.

In Te Maunga we have been doing maths. My class had to do this math problem. We had to guess how many balloons were in Mrs. Cameron's car. Tamati guessed that the right amount of balloons that was in the car. My guess was 111. I loved maths week.

In Te Maunga we have been doing a probability DLO. I had to make a Google Drawing and I learned in this game Way To Go that if you lived next to the school you will always get there first and if you were 30 minutes away from the school you will probably be late or last. Kindness letter Ruby.
Kia ora! Last week in Te Maunga we have been writing kindness letters to people who are lonely and sad. In lockdown I learnt how to make slime and even make my bed! I got a glass of water and my mum had coffee and I picked up the coffee and drank some of it.

Hello! Today In Te Maunga we have been learning about viruses. We made a poster about viruses. Viruses are tinier than bacteria. Bacteria can get in your gums. Fungi can be bad to eat because it can be very poisonous.
